Katherine is a recent graduate of Syracuse University, with a bachelor's degree in marketing and entrepreneurship. Before graduating, she began working with the Syracuse Biomaterials Institute to commercialize a wound dressing technology developed by two professors. Katherine is now the CEO of an early-stage biotechnology start-up called RMD Biotech. She also works as a full-time Leadership Development Associate in Advantage Sales and Marketing's (ASM) Accelerated Career Experience program. Katherine hopes to develop her biotechnology business in the coming year and get the silver hydrogel wound dressing technology into the market. She will graduate from the ASM leadership program in early 2016 and hopes to move into a role with the ASM InMarketing division in Boston or Chicago.
